The latest update will not last 20 seconds without crashing. Whats the point of it cant stay open for more than a few seconds, very disappointed!!!

Love the idea but barely works. Crashes and freezes while streaming. Aggravating and frustrating.

I just switched satellite providers and I think Dishs app has the superior design.

Best TV app out there

This App is such a powerful tool when you are away from your TV. Not only can you set and manage recording, you can check the Guide, and watch your recordings on your mobile device (wifi recommended) Its only down side is it can be glitchy on the occasion, if you can work thru those instances then you will be happy with the service! Im sure Dish corrects those bugs with each update!!

but still amazing. There are way to many pauses and sometimes it disappoints completely, but if you have a hopper with sling you should get this. IMHO Hopper3 has as of this writing WAY too many bugs too and I wish I had not upgraded from my old hopper. Wait a few months on that. But Dish Anywhere is freeware and definitely worth downloading to your smartphone. And it will improve too.

Just got the app yesterday. Everything seams to be fine at first till all of a sudden it starts to malfunction with a glitch effect while streaming. Sometimes i have to reboot my phone to stop it from playing sounds from my previous channel while watching another. I like the app and it has potential but until about 30 mins into any channel and poop....the glitch has an itch. Plz fix.

This review is sponsored by the letter "C" as in Crash. After using the app off and on for the last month, my review has changed from 5 stars to 3. The app is too unstable. It crashes when you rotate from landscape to portrait or vice versa. It will stutter while watching playback from home (sling box function) It just flat out crashes. As many times as it has happened and from the other complaints, they have to be building enough feedback data to write a new version or update bug killer. The only reason I gave 3 versus 1 is because I could not play from home at all with Directv. This is better than nothing. But has to get better

App needs you to add a $30 add on to your already expensive enough hopper and have dish internet I dont like the Internet dish offers so I go through xfinity and now I cant use my dish apps?!? I have my log in that should be plenty enough since I have to pay this much a year for it!

Hands down the best app out there for streaming live tv.

Every time i use the app all i can get is a black screen and audio from a different channel!

The convenience of this app is awesome. You can literally watch anything you would be able to watch on your home network anywhere you are. You can also download recorded shows and watch them without using data, which is nice for break time at work or whatever. The biggest problem I have with this app is that it crashes a ton when streaming. If you pause what youre watching and try to push play it usually doesnt work until you close the app and restart. I also keep getting a "program not available in your area" notice when selecting shows, but if I click on the channel it works just fine. All in all a good app that could be so much better if they fix a few issues.

One star, but only because its free. Crashes more than runs, the worst app I have ever had.

The app crashes a lot and it is shoddy here and there but when it does not crash it is cool.

Got it so I can watch games on the fly and even though the download speed is super slow in the app even if I have a fast internet connection, I wouldnt say its worth it because I can catch a little bit here and there and wait for it to buffer and load every 3 seconds for 1-2 seconds of tv. It takes forever. Dish really needs to fix this. At the best I get to see a little bit of the game- at least I can hear some of the game but even the voice is very choppy and slow. UPDATE: 4 months later. Still terrible. Awful on my iPhone 6s and awful on my Lenovo laptop. Regardless of the platform the streaming is painfully slow. PLEASE OVERHAUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will not run on iPhone. Did resets- restarts- etc on both my dish box & phone. It crashes

I had to write a review in the hopes of something changing. Every time I open the app within the first thirty seconds the app WILL crash. If it manages not to do that after watching one recorded show to completion it will crash. Please fix this!

I want to love this app, but it is by far the buggiest app I use on a regular basis. It crashes, screens dont update properly, recordings dont get set, etc etc. Fix the bugs, and this is a four- or five-star review. The ability to view recordings offline is great (and one of the main reasons I signed up for Dish originally).

All it does it crash.
